*** Very Important: Remember dogs chew the darnedest things!!! Be careful when making dog or pet clothing and watch your pet to make sure they do not chew on the clothing, especially where the iron-on has been attached. Clothing is great when you take your dog for a walk but not good for sleeping when they can't be watched. We do own dogs ourselves, so these are just our thoughts .
When Get & Give Hugs Dog Designers Iron-on Transfers is used to make a shirt:
1. This is designed with a white shirt in mind, so the colors of the actual transfer may vary when being ironed onto a colored shirt. The type of iron-on transfer paper you use can also affect the color.
2. This image is not reversed so if your iron-on transfer paper instructs you to reverse (mirror) the image before printing, then you will need to pick that setting from your printer options. *** Important! Although most new types of iron-on transfer paper do not require reversing (mirroring), you do need to follow the directions included with the iron-on transfer paper you choose when making the Get & Give Hugs Dog Designers Iron-on Transfers shirt.
3. For iron-on transfers that are being put on dark shirts, look for iron-on transfer paper that is for “dark fabric” or "dark shirts." You should be able to get this type of iron-on transfer paper wherever transfer paper is sold.
4. When washing any shirt that has an iron-on transfer, it is recommended that you turn the shirt inside out (to prevent the transfer from rubbing on other clothing during the wash and rinse cycles). It is also recommended that you hang up the shirt to dry, do not put in the dryer.
5. For crafting projects that do not include iron-on transfers, print the Get & Give Hugs Dog Designers Iron-on Transfers printable as you would any other free printable.
